LoL Lunar Revel 2023 Event: Rewards, Pass & Skins (2024)

Another year has gone by and a new League of Legends Season has just started. LoL Season 13 has started, which also means we have a brand-new event to play through and earn content in. What will the Lunar New Year Event 2023 hold for us?

Let's go over all the skins, the pass, as well as what else you can earn thanks to this huge kick-off in-game event in League of Legends. Will 2023 bring a new change to events and the pass system?

LoL Lunar Revel Event 2023: Start and End Date

First let's go over the duration of the event. With the recent Winterblessed Event being shorter than usual events we also got to earn more points by playing games. Well, the Lunar Revel Event 2023 is going to last for a bit over a month. The event will kick off with the release of LoL Patch 13.1 on January 12, 2023.

Events usually begin a day after patch drop, so the event begins January 12, 2023. It will go until February 14, 2023. You'll have one month to grind and get as many tokens as possible so you can earn the Lunar Revel rewards for 2023.

LoL Lunar Revel Event 2023 Event Pass and Bundle

Of course, as it's usual by now, we are going to get an event pass and an event pass bundle. You can earn rewards as a free to play players as well, but if you're eyeing one of the two prestige skins that will be made available in this event, then you're going to have to fork over some cold hard cash.

Lunar Revel Event 2023 Event Pass Rewards

In late 2023 Riot revealed their new event pass track. By playing games and completing missions, players will earn XP in the event track and reach different milestones. Overall, there are fifty milestones, with missions that being infinitely repeating.

Free to play players, won't get rewards at every milestone. We've listed all the free rewards below, but for a full list make sure to check out the official Riot Lunar Revel 2023 event page.

LoL Lunar Revel Event 2023 Event Loot

This event is going to encompass both the Mythmaker, as well as Lunar Gods skins, therefore there is going to be twice the loot. Though it is important to note that the Lunar Revel loot will only be available on January 26, 2023 when the Lunar Gods skins release onto the LoL client.

Just as with the loot, there will be two types of missions. The first batch which will be released along with the Mythmaker skins, as well as the second which are going to go live on January 26, 2023. These are all the in-game missions:

Lunar Revel Event 2023: Event Shop Details

When talking about an in-game event, we also have to mention the event shop, right? Well, let's go over everything we know we are going to be able to buy with tokens earned through event missions.

Lunar Revel Skins 2023

There are going to be two skin lines released for the Lunar Revel event. Much like in 2022, where we got Firecracker, as well as Porcelain skins, we will be getting two different Lunar New Year themed skin lines. The first are the Lunar Gods skins and the second revealed are the Mythmaker skins, which all contain the symbol of the rabbit somewhere since well... we're going into the year of the rabbit.

Lunar Revel 2023 Token Shop

Players will be able to exchange tokens for skins, as well as other in-game loot. Let's go over some of the things you definitely need to try to get your hands on in this token shop. Some of the loot will only be available starting in January 26, 2023, when the second part of the event kicks off.

Rotating Game Mode for Lunar Revel Event

We are also going to be getting another rotating game mode for this League of Legends event. Unfortunately, it won't be Nexus Blitz, since Riot have revealed that it could be a while until we get this game mode again due to corrupt files.

Instead, we're going to be playing some ARURF. URF was also the game mode for the 2022 Spirit Blossom event, but in ARURF we don't get to pick our champions. Hopefully Riot manages to fix the Nexus Blitz map, since players and fans would love some more variety for their events in 2023.
